ICOM

A scalable Map Installation for cultural access

2026

Commissioned by the Media Majlis Museum for Dubai Design Week, the ICOM project required translating complex global museum data into a clear and engaging visual experience that made cultural access instantly understandable.

Developed as a cohesive exhibition system, the project transformed global museum data from ICOM into an accessible and visually compelling experience from the outset. The large-scale map, bilingual information system, and custom iconography were designed to work together as a unified language, guiding visitors intuitively through the content.

Through careful attention to navigation, graphic clarity, and spatial presence, the illuminated lightbox became both an educational tool and a central visual anchor within the exhibition. The result is a scalable and engaging installation that communicates cultural access at a glance while encouraging exploration of museums in Qatar and beyond, an experience designed to remain clear, inviting, and impactful across audiences.
